They are not interconnected by any metal wires like a bonnell spring mattress.
The main advantage of pocket spring is that, the individual springs can move independently.
What is a memory foam?

It is more responsive than polyurethane foam.
This means that when we sleep, the memory foam adjusts to our body curves.
This gives a good support to the body.

A Deep Look At The Results
A pocket spring is made of steel. So a pocket spring mattress has hardness of a metal.
Off course it also has foam on the top too. But we are just looking at the primary material here.
A memory foam is made from polyurethane foam. Hence a memory foam mattress is soft.
Apart from this basic difference – one being soft and the other being firm – there is a major difference between the two.
The major difference between a pocket spring mattress and a memory foam mattress is the responsiveness.
A pocket spring mattress cannot give proper support to the body. The major benefit of a pocket spring mattress is to not disturb the other partner.
A memory foam mattress can give a good support to the body. It responds to body weight. As the pressure points gets a good support, the spine is aligned straight. This reduces back pain.
So a pocket spring mattress can last long while a memory foam mattress is good for avoiding back pain.
The pocket spring mattress is generally available with a wide choice of sizes and thickness levels than a memory foam mattress.
In our test of the two mattresses, Wake-Up has won by a very narrow margin. The obvious difference is the availability of readymade sizes and thicknesses.
However, as memory foam mattresses are more comfortable than pocket spring mattresses, we recommend to buy a memory foam mattress.
The Duroflex memory foam mattress is one of the best memory foam mattress at the moment.
